Dr Karen Flegg is a Specialist General Practitioner from Australia. Her clinical medical practice has mostly been in rural and very remote areas.
She is an Associate Professor in the Rural Clinical School, of the Australian National University.
Dr Flegg has been actively involved as a medical educator in both undergraduate and postgraduate specialty training for general practice for over 20 years. Teaching and mentoring the next generation of specialised general practitioners is an ongoing passion.
She has held high level roles in Health Service delivery, policy and planning, most recently, until 2021, as Director of Medical Services of Remote Medical in the Central Australian Health Service, and in the past was CEO of the Royal New Zealand College of GPs.
Dr Flegg is currently President of the World Organization of Family Doctors (WONCA).

Dr. Shlomo Vinker, 60 years old, is a family physician living in Ashdod, Israel, where he is actively practicing in an urban clinic. He is a Full Professor of Family Medicine, Associate Dean, and former Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at Tel Aviv University's Faculty of Medicine. Over his career, he has authored approximately 260 papers published in peer-reviewed journals indexed by PubMed.
Dr.Shlomo Vinker has played prominent leadership roles within several prestigious medical organizations. He served as a Member at Large of WONCA Europe from 2016 to 2019, then as President-Elect from 2019 to 2021, and currently holds the position of President since 2021. He was also an executive board member of the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN) from 2015 to 2022, during which time he chaired the educational committee from 2018 to 2022.
In Israel, Dr. Shlomo Vinker has been a driving force within the Israeli Association of Family Physicians (IAFP), serving as Chairman from 2009 to 2018 and Treasurer since 2018. As Chairman, he spearheaded major reforms in the residency program, emphasizing family medicine and ambulatory care over hospital-based training. Under his leadership, the IAFP initiated a grant program for family medicine research, awarding hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. He also launched a medical wiki website that now hosts around 6,700 high-quality articles and receives millions of entries annually.
Since 2015, Dr. Shlomo Vinker has been the Chief Medical Officer of Leumit Health Services, a national healthcare provider serving approximately 730,000 members. In 2018, he established a research institute within Leumit to bolster research in family medicine and primary care.

Dr İkbal Hümay Arman is a family medicine specialist and PhD candidate in public health, from İstanbul, Türkiye. Since 2022, she serves as an Executive Board Member and Events Officer of the European Young Family Doctors' Movement (EYFDM). Additionally, she serves as the EYFDM Türkiye Campaign & Policy Coordinator since 2019. She has experience working as a family doctor and a specialised physician in both rural and urban areas across different regions of the country. After four years at the Ministry of Health, she has recently taken up a position as Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the İstanbul Medipol University School of Medicine. Since Dr Arman is eager to make contributions at both the national and international levels, she is an active member of the WONCA Europe networks. She is co-leader of the EYFDM Special Interest Group on Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence. Also she serves as the EYFDM liaison for the European General Practice Research Network (EGPRN). Additionally, Dr Arman plays an active role in her national affiliate (TAHUD), serving as Vice President of the International Commission and young doctors’ movement coordinator. She is a determined researcher and has authored numerous publications on primary health care, continuously contributing to the academic field. Her clinical interests include preventive health services, health promotion, health education and health literacy.

Dr Aaron Poppleton is a general practitioner, GP specialist trainer, and Wellcome Trust Doctoral Fellow at Keele University, United Kingdom. He studied Medicine with European Studies (German) at the University of Manchester, subsequently completing Master’s degrees in Clinical Research (2018) and Global Public Health (2021) - both awarded distinction. He has worked in Germany and the UK as a research active medical doctor, and has undertaken clinical attachments and medication education projects across Europe....

Dr Aaron Poppleton is a general practitioner, GP specialist trainer, and Wellcome Trust Doctoral Fellow at Keele University, United Kingdom. He studied Medicine with European Studies (German) at the University of Manchester, subsequently completing Master’s degrees in Clinical Research (2018) and Global Public Health (2021) - both awarded distinction. He has worked in Germany and the UK as a research active medical doctor, and has undertaken clinical attachments and medication education projects across Europe, including in Hungary, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Ukraine and Norway.
Dr Poppleton is an Executive Board member of WONCA Europe, representing the European Young Family Doctors Movement (EYFDM). He co-chairs the EYFDM special interest groups for medical education and leadership.
Dr Poppleton won the EYFDM Junior Researcher Award in 2022. His research interests include migrant health, mental health and Point of Care Ultrasound (PoCUS) in General Practice.
